Simply said: Jared

The Last Leaves of 2009

We just never had time this fall to make it to the park and get some fall pictures so Jared and I trotted out to the front yard for a few quick pics last month (yes, I am just getting around to publishing them:) He never got off the blanket because he hated how the grass felt. He kept leaning over to touch it and then jerk his hand back like it bit him. He did however try to steal my camera as you will see :)

Jared's first haircut

Jared had his first haircut on October 6th! A friend of ours, Jessica, came over to cut my hair and did his while she was here. Jared wasn't even 9 months old yet but he had this really long comb-over on top that just had to go!

See how long it was!

He was soooo good the entire time :)

Daddy had to hold his face because he kept wanting to see what was going on back there.

Our Little Monster's Morning Routine

No matter how many times you clean up the toys, Jared knows how he likes them. He is crawling all over the place. This will give you a little laugh as you consider Jared's morning routine. Every morning, our house becomes Jared's play place!

Jared's First Encounter with a Closed Box of Hostess Cakes

What does a lilttle boy do when he see's a brand new, unopened box of Little Debbie Cakes? Well...we don't know about the rest of the world, but we now know what Jared does!

Dinner with Jared

So as any parent knows a meal with a new eater is always an adventure and for some babies, like Jared, it's a passion. Food is a serious and most beloved subject. Basically here are the rules for the parent (aka person w/the spoon) during the feeding proccess (per Jared):
  • No pausing for air
  • No wiping of the face
  • No stopping to talk to someone else
  • No adjusting the bib
  • No warming up additional food... just give here
  • If your too slow I will take matters into my own hands (literally)
  • No wiping the hands after I have done so
  • No chunks of food at this time or I will gag and turn purple
  • If I decide to take a short break and look aroud at something then you must wait patiently in position to feed me the second I decide to resume.

Hurry Daddy!

Daddy's too slow so he's ready to eat the tray.

Mmmmm!

Hyperventilating between bites.

It's Been a While

This summer has been a blur for our family. We had the oppurtunity to be involved in Vacation Bible School, Bus Rider's Camp, Youth Congress, and Pastor's College on top of our normal schedule. It was busy...but we saw the Lord really work in the live of our teenagers!!! Our family went to Maryland for vacation. We got to go to Hershey Park and Washington D.C. in addition to seeing family. Jared is getting big! He loves to grab EVERYTHING and really loves to make noises all the time.

Jared likes to eat and grab everything...even other children's socks!
